Question: Do any of your products have natural SPF?

Yes!  To a certain extent they all do.  Please see our ingredients page for details about the natural SPF in Aloe Vera, coconut, avocado oil and carrot seed oil.  The only product that we advertise as having SPF is our Body Balm with natural sunscreen.  Given the proportions of the ingredients, we can only give an estimate of the SPF as being between 20 and 30.

Question: Does Face Food work well on sensitive skin?

Yes!  We have had many satisfied customers tell us that it works better than anything else they have ever tried – including the high end products.  Rock on Mother Nature!  (See our testimonial page!)

Question: What should I do if my product separates?

Separating can occur if the temperature at which the cream is stored fluctuates.  We do not use strong emulsifiers, like bee’s wax, so the consistency is not always perfect. Not to worry, it is very easy to fix!  Warm up your product just enough to get them to be little bit thinner liquid.  The fastest way to do that is to put in microwave for 15 seconds on 10%. Shake or stir thoroughly.  You may need to do this a couple of times. Voila, problem solved!

Question: Why do my products liquefy in warm weather?

In very warm temperatures your products will liquefy – a natural occurrence due to the coconut oil, which is one of the main ingredients. Coconut oil is normally solid and white, but temperatures over 75 degrees it is a clear liquid. Your products will work the same on your skin whether they are a thicker cream or thinner consistency! If you prefer them thicker, just stir or shake and refrigerate for an hour or two.

Question: Why do you recommend keeping my products refrigerated until I am ready to start using it?

They are not intended to have a long shelf life.  Our products behave more like a food than a cosmetic. It is all about keeping them as fresh and natural as possible.  They will stay fresh in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to six months.  Once you are ready to start using then just keep in on the counter.  They will keep nicely for about 6 weeks, or more.  After that they may start to discolor a little, but it does not change the character of the product at all.
